Donated in 2014 by D.L. Wicker, a private collector specializing in game-used NHL

memorabilia. This Easton S19 composite stick was used by Ryan Suter during the 2013–

2014 NHL season with the Minnesota Wild, following his departure from the Nashville

Predators. Documentation accompanying the donation includes verification photographs

and player-use confirmation from the donor’s acquisition correspondence.

Description and Significance

This Easton S19 stick exemplifies the advanced hybrid composite technology of the early

2010s, integrating carbon fiber and fiberglass layering for enhanced flex response and

durability. Used by Ryan Suter, one of the NHL’s most durable and minute-eating

defensemen, the stick reflects his smooth, efficient playing style and precision passing

ability.

Suter’s use of Easton S19 models during his early years with the Minnesota Wild represents

a continuation of his established equipment preferences from Nashville, marking a period

of career consistency and leadership that would later define his tenure with the Wild. The

visible wear patterns and autographs enhance its research and display value as part of the

Archive’s “Defensive Legacy” collection.
